Photo signing

Postby suejackfootball » Sun Mar 22, 2015 11:37 pm

Can anyone help please? I know that at the signing session our photographs are checked to make sure they are suitable and don't infringe copyright . I believe you can however get a photo signed if you have taken it yourself. I have one which I took at AT7 which I would like to be signed, can any of the photo signing staff let me know how I prove I own the copyright, and if In fact I've got it right it can be signed please ?

Thanks
Sue

Sue

I'm not quite sure how you'd prove you own the copyright and I'm not sure that we'd go to such lengths to even find out. In a lot of cases we become familiar with photos which are available, and very few people would actually go to the trouble of printing something bigger than say a 7"x5" photo if it were their own.

Depending upon when you arrive, Jools and I will be looking after the information desk on the Friday pm for a couple of hours, so come and find us there - it's going to be in the same room as registration. Failing that hunt one of us out Saturday morning before the opening ceremony and let us take a quick look at your photo.

To be on the safe side, bring something else if you have it.

Hope this is of some help, but if you have any other questions then pop them up on here and we'll try to answer.

Cheers

Elaine

I suspect it will be okay, but it's always worth checking if you're unsure, and have an alternative plan just in case.

Hi,

On the subject of photo signing - I have a question.

Does it have to be a photo or can I bring like a DVD cover slip thing for the signing?

Thanks for your help,

Vicky

Just for "newbies" curiosity - Amanda signs a lot of items. She has signed DVD covers (as mentioned), cups, t-shirts, designer boxes (made for the auction), hats, stuffed animals, etc. It is "copyright" infringements that concerns the Gabit people the most, and pictures are the major players in that game!
