that would be a big help for us. ask him if he would come this far. i started going to a place that opened up a couple years ago just 1 block away from our house. i had to go there because something happened one day and he was the only place i could find that was open on saturday. he was nice and took care of my car. when things go wrong with mom's van, i have to take it to be fixed and she likes a place someone referred her to, but that means i have to sit there and wait for hours or pay for a taxi yo get home and then back. so i told her that we need to start using the place by us - GTO- so i can leave it there and just ride my scooter the 1 block home. their prices have been fair and the owner is a really nice guy and doesn't try to take advantage of us. he tries really hard to fit us in when something happens aND WE HAD PLANNED TO GO SOMEWHERE. like this last christmas. we had to leave for the Christmas Eve service by 4pm and the guy really pushed to get it done so mom could go, just in case this was her last Christmas. but then of course something happened to the ramp when she was gettin to the van and she ended up not going. but that wasn't his fault. but i think he can be trusted and the other guys are all latinos that don't speak much english, if any, but they do good work. so going one block is almost as good as having the mechanic come to the house.

yup

not just that but there would be cars all over. a house 2 houses away was rented by a bunch of young people and they fixed cars in their garage and always blared music when they did. i called the police several times as did many other neighbors. they had very loud parties every weekend and there were always a lot of cars parked everywhere around the block. this house had a marching band playing in their yard one sunday morning at 7am. i could see the top of a tuba over the fence. i couldn't believe it. one time i saw 2 plain clothes cops wearing bullet proof vests going to their house . finally they moved. the entire neighborhood was grateful they were gone!!

evening

everyone is glad they are gone. but the owner is the father and now his other son and family have moved in. but at least they are not as disruptive to the peace of the neighborhood as his brother and friends were. only one loud/late party so far this summer.
