nice day for yard work, but had pantry instead

i was surprised it didn't really bother me much at the pantry. we were very short of volunteers. i unloaded 2 pallets of food all by myself, but did it all on my left side. there was only one guy there under 70 to help. the others were too old and weak to do any heavy lifting, so i was the heavy lifter with just that one guy. i'm really tired now and will hopefully get to bed early. i really worked hard. i want a raise!!

Instead of doing it yourself get help

You shouldn’t be doing g all that heavy lifting, the organisers need to put an announcement out for extra men to help

help was not available

i know i shouldn't, but there was no one else to do it. only one guy that wasn't really old. they put an notice in the church bulletin and sent out 500 emails, but i guess there are a nlot of graduation parties and people taking vacations now that school is out. there are a couple that are there but don't really help much. they will put 3 rolls of toilet tissue in a plastic bag for the clients but won't lift anything as heavy as a box of cereal boxes. got a month off to recover. reqally tired tho because i had trouble falling asleep last night and then had to be up early and that never goes well for me. i was a little cranky there.

law is not equal for everyone.

if it feels worse while i'm there i would stop. i do have my limits. i had some older lady lifting the higher boxes down to me, but not the really heavy ones. i doubt she could have done those.

go home for a while

puppy meatloaf. i had to grind spinach and mushrooms in a coffee grinder and weigh out everything i use 2pounds orgaNIC GROUND BEEF, 5 ounces liver, hearts and gizzards ground, then i add broccoli and cauliflower ground and 4 eggs and mix it and cook for 50 minutes. i make 4 recipes of it. Abby loves it. i hate cooking but for her i'll do it! its hard to get all the stuff mixed well enough. i need a giant mixer that does the hard part. then i had to weigh it out and put it in baggies. easier that dividing and weighing at every meal. i hate cleaning up afterwards. i put the meatloaf pans and a muffin pan in the dishwasher but ended up washing again by hand because they didn't get clean.

away from home a lot tomorrow

it does cost more, but i think she is worth it. she's like my kid, wouldn't you be willing to spend a little more for your kids if it could add years to their lives? it does come out cheaper by making her food myself rather than buying this kind of food precooked. for the amount i would have to give her for this one type it turned out to be about $10 a day. cheaper to make it myself.

Backs are behind us

You can freeze them for a few months, just defrost them before you give them to her

us is a bad word to start a sentence with.

i measured them all out and put them in the freezer for the next time i make her meatloaf. the first 2 times i made it i made a quadruple batch, but it only lasts barely 2 weeks. this time i made a batch that was 8 times the recipe. then i measured out each day's allowance in baggies and froze it. it made enough fort 43 meals, so only 21 1/2 days. it took me about 5 1/2 hours total. glad i cut up all the veggies sunday, but had to go get all the meat and zip lock bags earlier today because the rain stopped me the day before. i did buy some more meatloaf pans so i didn't have to wash and reuse any pans now. i was exhausted and my back is killing me now. i just finished and cleaned up about an hour ago. put everything in the freezer and will be going to bed soon. tomorrow i can finally plant - no rain for 2 days. but i have to quit by 3:30 because i have to drive out to the new vets place and get more
slave for Abby's allergy hot spots. she still has a lot of red, scabby areas because of her allergies and it will take a while before i see a big change. i feel so bad for her scratching everywhere when she isn't sleeping, but its only been a week since i saw her.
