Okay folks, I tried posting a newbie member post in the off topic forum. I see you are having trouble with spam, and believe me I've been there done that, trying to sort out one genuine new member from 100 spammies. Almost gives me a warm glow knowing others are in the same boat. You may never have received the post, or it may have been buried amongst porn, casino, insurance, and viagra spammers.
The post had no offensive words, was not insulting, and was reasonably well written, given that I have a good education, and am of a certain age. It may be you have the most over zealous mods who act like over protective teachers and treat their members like children, in which case no problem, I wouldn't want to post on a forum like that anyway. I think this may well not be a Sanctuary/Amanda Tapping forum, rather a promotional site, so admittedly as an older Sanctuary fan I am probably persona non grata anyway. One of the reasons I loved the show was because the cast were truly brilliant, not filled with kids and aimed at kids. Sadly there is no Sanctuary forum where I can wail and whine to others in the same boat.
Just let me know if you received the post, because it may have been overlooked. Spammers can certainly screw up a forum. Having to scrutinise every new member can put people off and deter genuine newbies if their post doesn't appear immediately. If you received it and decided not to post it just let me know and I will simply not attempt to post again.
