here too. it was pretty nice today until the wind picked up. and of course it happened while we were jogging. but it wasn't too bad because she is limited to 15 monutes for a while, while her toes continue to heal. the holistic vet, Dr. Dena told me to try using MaNUKA HONEY ON ABBY'S CHIN. THE UNDERSIDE OF HER CHIN IS RED AND SCABBED and her lower lips(parts of them) are red with a little bleeding because of her allergies. it is supposed to have medicinal qualities. so i got some yesterday, $29 for a 2-3 inch high jar - from Australia. i put it on the bottom of her chin and a little on the lips, but she licked it off the lip[s right away. but, this morning her chin actually looked a little better. so, hopefully this will help it heal. it's been a problem for months. she is always scratching or rubbing it on her bed.

butnthis stuff works better than the average honey because of the trees that the bees get their pollen from. it better be special considering what i paid for it.

it's not regular honey. it's different and only from New Zealand. it comes in different ratings. i got a medium one. the higher one is really pricey. it is definitely helping the wound. it's not the kind you would just add to your tea or put on toast. it's medicinal, much more so that regular honey. i also give her some made here, locally every other day because they claim it helps with allergies.
