we were supposed to leave at 2:30, but he txt'd and said to leave earlier if possible. the rain/snow had already started. so we had dinner early and left early and got home before the heavy snow started. it is still melting some on the roads and sidewalks, but we are supposed to get 6-10 inches by morning. hope the streets aren't too bad so i can take Abby jogging.

it didn't stop until we got 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) during the night. and the wind was wicked. i spent 2 hours plowing out my driveway and all the snow that the snow plows piled behind our vans. there was one huge lump, like the size of a giant pumpkin pushed under my rear bumper. i had to work hard to get it unstuck and i tried to break it up but it was solid ice. took me forever to get that out of the way. then i cleared behind both vans and between them. my van doors were frozen shut and the snow on it was covered with ice. so glad i have the auto start thing. so i started it up and let it run with the heat all the way up. finally i could clear off the ice and snow and got the doors to open. that was a real pain in the bum!! completely wore the scooter battery down and it was starting to get dark, so didn't get Abby out for her run. i promised her we would go tomorrow. i did go to Mariano's for something for dinner. for some reason they didn't get their parking lot plowed. people were having trouble pushing he shopping baskets into and out of the store. i could barely walk to the back of the van to get the scooter out, it was solid, slippery ice. when i was putting the scooter back in the car my feet kept slipping and i had to keep moving to find a rough place so i could finally stand up. it was a little scary. i was so afraid of falling. got home safe.

can't understand why they didn't get their lot cleared. all the other businesses did. i bet they got a lot of nasty calls from customers. the guy i hired has not come yet. called today and he promised to come tomorrow afternoon. at least my car can go. he said he has so many customers he couldn't get here. i think i will talk to him again and just have him come and clear the driveway and the 2 vans and then come back later when he has finished other jobs and do our sidewalks. i usually don't worry about the sidewalks because people around here walk in the street most of the time, even in the summer. weird!

Why do you clear the sidewalk on the corner, we don’t clear our footpath if someone fell due to it being cleared they can Sue you so I never clear the footpath

that's a gooD point. i don't know, most people clear their walks but i called the guy again because he promised to come this afternoon and he didn't. i have no intention of doing it. not everyone does. oh well, we are supposed to have thunderstorms Saturday so that should melt it. the town used to clear all the sidewalks but stopped last year.

ok, i'm going for an angiogram at the hospital tomorrow so i probably won't be playing either. not sure if i'll be going home at night or if they will keep me. it depends on ther results and how much repair work they have to do. it's been a pain figuring out things because they told me it would be late afternoon, then said 12:15 pm. have to be there 10:454 am. had trouble finding someone to take me home after because i will be sedated and they don't let you drive. and they don't allow you to be picked up by a taxi. has to be family/friend or medical person. my friend Bobbie will be doing that for me. thank GOD FOR HER. if i have to stay the night, mom's friend who used to stay with her when i came to ENGLAND will stay overnight with her, thank GOD AGAIN. then i will have to find a ride there to get my van on Saturday unless i stay overnight. just getting this all arranged was a pain in the bum. i'm a little nervous about it, but i know God will be with me. i showed mom's carer how to feed Abby so that is ok, but she can't give Abby her eye meds, so she will miss a dose or 2 depending if i stay overnight.

it was a frustrating mess, not knowing if i would have to stay or not and making arrangements for mom for either way. but the angiogram proved the stress test results wrong. they didn't have to do any repair work, no stents. praise God. i went home about 4-4:30 PM. HAD TO WEAR A SPLINT ON THE FOREARM WHERE THEY INSERTED THE NEEDLES IN THE ARTERY, BUT THAT WAS ALL. can't lift more than 10 pounds - .7 stones, for 5 days. have to make a follow up appointment for Thursday. so it went well. and it's over.
