my x-niece-in-law came over last night to give mom a perm. i was just about to take things out and put on kitchen table to bake, but had to stop because she does it in the kitchen. haven't talked to her since before my nephew remarried in November. his new wife is pregnant now. so it was nice to see her and talk to her a little at least. we still love her even thothey are divorced. she is always welcome here - she has always been very nice to us. so got to the bedroom a little later than usual and just wanted to sleep.

no, that's why she said she wanted to rush the wedding. her biological clock was ticking. it's a boy , his name is Grant, due in August.

no, a christening would be at her catholic church where the wedding was and i will not drive there in mom's van. it will have to be something local.

warning

they have been here for a short visit twice before the wedding. not since. Brian and his daughter have been here but she was working. don't know if anyone will be having a baby shower for her nearby, but unless it is at my brother's house, mom can't go because she can't get into most houses without a ramp like at my brothers. so i don't have any idea when we will see any of them. just herd tonight that they are going to Paris, because of her job. she is a clothing buyer for some fancy business in chicago.

A baby shower is normally done by the woman’s side, I’m going to my niece in March

hope they don't take a side trip to Italy because of the virus. boy yesterday was a nightmare. i was on the phone trying to get a Medicare number so i can get my diabetic supplies . was on hold for over an hour. got a late start at making the dog food and found out that i accidentally bought the wrong meat at Costco. i kept reading the packaging and the cost and the weight because it was organic chicken and i accidentally picked up the wrong package which turned out to be turkey. what an idiot. so i used it, but wanted a 3rd protein in her diet.i'll try again next month! so i was making the stuff and mom was up by then and she came in the kitchen and talked and talked, reading me her mail, repeating what was on tv, etc. drove me crazy. i don't like to talk when i am concentrating on doing something butshe just never stops talking. finally was baking the last 2 pans and the smoke alarm kept going off in the kitchen. i had to keep trying to hit the button with a grabber i had there. then it would start again. there was no smoke, the meat was cooking normally so i turned the fan vent on that is just over the oven. i called Doug and he came over to check it out. he took it down and outside for a while to stop it. then he put it back up. he didn't find anything wrong. i think that smoke detector is super sensitive because it goers off when i cook eggs if i don't have the exhaust fan on. so he put it back up but with the button where i could reach it easier. i didn't want to call the fire dept. he didn't mind coming. he was a fireman for 25 years. he a really nice guy. we txt a lot, its fun. so by the time i finished and got the pans in the fridge i was too exhausted to play.
