old stories

just got an email from Costco. they said they have a record of me buying a fruit bowl several days back and now they are recalling it due to possible contamination with Salmonella. i have to bring it back tyo the store for a refund tomorrow. i ate one piece several days ago and Abby hads been getting a few piecers every day. fortunately she has had no symptoms of any GI upset. her poops look normal and she has a constant appetite which is normal for her.

Fairy tales

half of it was still left. i got a refund. then i bought more fruit only to have the new holistic vet i saw today tell me that Abby is getting too much sugar from the fruit right now. so i guess we will have to eat it. this vet is amazing. she is trained in kinesiology, acupuncture, herbal therapy, nutritional therapy, chiropractic neurology and TLC. nothing like a regular vet and this kinesiology stuff is amazing. can't explain it, it would take a few pages to type it all. but it is amazing. her office is part of a barn on her farm. she has 7 horses and cats and other animals. i learned so much. i will only go back to my vet for little things. she is going to help me get Abby off the new drug that is supposed to help the allergies, but now they are reinvestigating it. she doesn't give vaccinations regularly. she does titers, which are blood tests that check to see if the dog has immunity to certain things that they normally get vaccinated for every year when they may not need it for another 4-5 years. all those vaccines actually harm the dogs. the vets just routinely give a whole bunch of vaccinations to the animals every year but they don't need them. but they make money that way. some animals actually die from them. i know one person whose dog has had head twitching ever since he got his shots. but that's howe a lot of vets make money. that's how the big pharmacy companies make money. you know, they give the same dose of rabies vaccination to a 5 pound little dog as they give to a big great dane. so she is going to cure Abby's allergies with natural things like herbs and botanicals and stuff like that. its just amazing. and she said i've made a good start by getting Abby off the kibble food. and i'm using natural things for the reddened areas caused by the allergies. so i have to make some more changes in her diet still and then see her again in 6 weeks. i'm really excited about this.
