i got a blood test and took mom's urine sample to the lab. then took her to the assessors office for property tax stuff, then Walgreens and then home. then i ran my errands - starbucks and Mariano's for my dinner. it was almost warm today. a lot of the snow is melted. i might be able to get the lights down in the next few days.

what's wrong with Ben? so they have hot water heat there too? is that what all houses have? we have a furnace with just vents usually in the ceiling, but some on the bottom of walls. rarely see hot water heat radiators anymore here.

exactly. well, i ran some errands today. looking for a denture cup for my mother. can't find one in a store. will have to order one online. went to Mariano's as my last stop but i couldn't get my scooter out of the van. the control just made a clicking noise. so i had it partway out already and some guy asked if i needed help and i took advantage. there is a lever that you have to move and then it releases the motor from something and you can manually swing the scooter back in the van. we had trouble getting that to work, then another older guy wanted to help and wanted to lift it down, but he didn't speak english really well so couldn't explain it all to him. but finally the other guy got the thing released and the older guy pushed the scooter in. but it was about 6-8 inches off the floor and would not go down. so i had to drive home with the scooter swinging in the back. had to go slow and stop slow so it wouldn't damage the back window or the lift. called the guy that fixes it and he can do it tomorrow after 3pm. so that's where i'll be tomorrow. i hope it's fixable. i can't afford a new one. the one i have was £1294. but i got it free. some woman's husband died and they didn't need it anymore so she gave it away. nice lady. then i gave my older one away.

one of the connectors in the main part of the unit was rusted so he replaced it and one of the fuses in the engine area was rusted too so he replaced it and held a match under it to make the plastic coating melt so water wouldn't get in it. it cost me $45- £32. sotht wasn't too bad. took about 45 min to fix. but its weird, it actually makes the motor run a little faster now. i like it, but don't understand why. i'll have to ask him next time i see him.
