Hi

Any idea when we'll be getting news on whether we've been offered a ticket or not? I need to start saving if I have got a ticket :D

So, is this the place where everybody writes that (s)he comes? Because I just got one! I really was ready to accept that I missed out this time, because I have been a bit slow at the beginning. But I'm in!

No cocktail party, though, but that is okay.

Anybody else?

My friend and I were lucky enough to get tickets.

Good luck to every one else.

I got my confirmation. Didn't apply for the cocktail ticket. Fingers crossed for the rest of you waiting.

Thanks Mumsey and the rest of the G4. :D

I got a ticket as well. Plus I guess I must have requested the cocktail party because I was offered that as well. Don't remember asking so they must automatically assume. No problem. I can do that too. See you there, oh, also in England.

Now, how do we know if they got our confirmation acceptance. :?

The default in the reg system is to ask for a cocktail party ticket, since, in the excitement, people often don't notice the question at the top of the first details page... no matter how obvious I try and make it!

I cannot believe I got a ticket

Computer glitches and all. Wait listed for the cocktail but at least I finally get to meet the man. Wohoo!

Good luck to the rest. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hello kids, I got my ticket confirmation as well.

I really didn't think it would happen as I registered somewhat *late* on the day the pre-registration opened.

Anyway, I am happy I got offered a ticket. :-)

Twice a year to Vancouver - once in February for the Olympics and then in August for MTM - what more could a girl ask for? :D

Heh, I registered the day AFTER registration opened and I managed to get a ticket.

I wonder are the tickets even all sold yet?

We'll see that in October. ;-)

Seriously, I was surprised to get a ticket and even more surprised you got one as well. Anyone remember registering for AT4?

Getting tickets for Avalon wasn't a sure bet either.

But the economy wasn't like it is now. People don't know if they will be working next year let alone afford a trip. Some people are blowing their wads on the AT4 and can't afford another trip. Economics are the reasons behind it all.

So do we let our current situation have an influence on what we will be doing a year from now?

I have worked with a four-weeks-notice for years. I never know what I will be doing the following year. I can make plans but they can always fall through.
However, if I don't make plans I won't get anywhere. :!:

Right now I am hoping that two months from now I will be working with a one-day-notice.

Will it have an impact on my travelling plans for next year? Probably.
The trip to the Olympics is paid for, if I don't get the time off I can cancel parts of it and maybe change the flight to August.

Right now, I can't even say for sure from *where* I might be travelling to Vancouver.

Does that stop me from making plans? Heck, NO!
You gotta have dreams, you gotta make plans otherwise you're missing out on life itself!

So here's a toast (with a glass half full): To plans! :D

Short and to the point - I totally agree. I have no idea about next year, I don't even know about next week. So....I toast you with my half full glass.
