For fans who can't attent MTM

Postby Alexa » Tue Apr 20, 2010 9:20 pm

With permission from the MTM organisers, some peeps over at RDAnderson forum are doing a little vid to give to RDA from fans who can't attent MTM

This is the idea: Fans who can't attent MTM will send a pic of themselves to the person making the vid (macgyvergeek) and all pics will be included in said vid as a "hello" from fans to RDA. MTM is limited to 350 people. Some didn't catch a ticket, some can't afford one, but RDA definitely has MORE than 350 fans. So this is a chance for everyone who can't attend to be a part of the event and say hello to RDA.

Anyone interested, send your pic to sgalloway214@gmail.com by June 1st.

Thank you G4 & Legends.

Just to clarify...because people have emailed us to ask...

This video is NOT being shown at MTM. It will be handed privately to Richard Dean Anderson by Legends Memorabilia.

Alexa mentiond " those who didin't catch a ticket" The event is not yet sold out, so if anyone does still want a ticket for the event, there are a few weekend tickets available on the Legends site.

www.stargateprops.com and look in the event ticket tab.

We also have tickets for The Sanctaury Experience available.

*nods*

Oh, also, the peeps who are making the vid haven't said anything (from what I remember) about the picture resolution requirements, but I think it's a safe bet to go for the best resolution you can. It's always easier to scale down a high quality pic than the other way around.

Until we have a minimum resolution requirement or other technical details, tips from those who know more about making vids are more than welcome.

I forgot to add that the makers of the vid are considering closing the photo submissions after the first 70-80 pics... or the due date.... i guess whichever comes first, but thy might be flexible depending on how things are rolling.

Of course, more up to date info is on the RDAnderson board. Thought I'd let you know though.

Question time :D :

I take it this is only open to people NOT in attendance at MTM?

Also make sure you give your vid maker the heads up on the format it is being saved in I have since realised this since Tim & Nick pointed it out to me :) ie I will be in Canada with the vids ;)

Hey hon,

You mean like... the format the images are being saved in? Or the format the vid will be in?

As for the pics, they are intending to keep submission open to all, but for now they would preffer the people who CAN'T go to submit theirs and if there aren't enough for a vid they will take con goers too. As you've figured out, the idea is to give those who can't be there the chance to say hi to RDA... wouldn't really be fair to fill it up with people who are going to be there anyway...

So for now, people who won't be there. Later on, we'll see what they say...

Thanks for the tip, kiddo.

PS: looking forward to seeing you in Vancouver!!! You were such a whirlwind at AT5 I barely got the chance to say hi.

I am *great* travelling company.

Although, pulling up behind the bus of football fans and making me get out was kinda mean

That sounds like there's an entertaining story there...

I'm not too worried,

because 1) she's planning on moving to 'my turf' at some point Lol

and 2) I'll hold back Apple Tango:) - that will make Oregon sad

What do you mean "more"? I hardly have any worth mentioning.

And I'll need someone who can help me refrain from making a complete fool of myself, yes...

...And here's where your plan falls apart. I haven't a clue what I'm missing, so it's no threat to leave me to stew in my ignorance. If you were really evil, you'd let me get hooked on it, *then* start with-holding. Or buy up all the Orange Tango in Coventry and hold it hostage against my good behavior.

Keely, honestly. We need to work on your blackmail instincts. Your first threat was much more potent than your second. ;)

Yup. While using his wrists to demonstrate.

"You see, you gotta make this knot here extra tight, then loop this bit around the radiator like so... and voila! Now somebody would need a knife to get out of those, not like the ones you tied me up with earlier. Speaking of which, I'm just going to move all the sharp objects out of your reach now, then go find wherever you hid the phone so I can call the police..."

And don't forget about yelling insults about the home team. That's always good for a laugh. Well, after the running for one's life part.

The makers of the fans video for RDA are opening submissions for photos to con-goers as well. The dealine remains the same, June 1st, but at the moment they still have some space for those who will be able to attend the con as well.

Pics should be submitted to the same e-mail:

sgalloway214@gmail.com

And the "delivery" remains the same. The video will be personally given to RDA at the MTM event by the organisers.
